Frith removed the baby from her, cutting the umbilical cord. He would let her finish pushing out the placenta on her own. He focused on the infant. It was small, weak, and useless to him. He would give her stronger children. He planned to eat it right there and then. Frith turned his back so she didn't have to watch. The baby didn't seem to be crying, perhaps it was dead. He ate it while his back was turned, blood dripping onto the floor from the inflicted wounds caused by the king.
