"He murdered her," she said softly. "I know. That morning, the morning of the day he tried to lock me away forever, I went to the garden. I saw blood on the roses, and all of them cut and dying. Clipped so they couldn't grow back. I ran inside, looking for her. He caught me though, he told me my mother went on a trip and that she'd be back soon. Until then though, she didn't want me to go outside. It wasn't safe for me, that's what he told me."

"Phantasus. Phantasus, don't run too far." Hypnos said, walking down the street. Ikelos was 10 months old. He was cradling the baby close. Morpheus was holding onto his brother's hand, who was 3, and Morpheus was holding onto his father's shirt. Phantasus was running ahead.
