René approached, "It's been a while since I've seen Pearle. Does he have any allergies or does he take any medicine that I should be aware of?" When René went to grab the boy's arm, Pearle flinched away, his eyes questioning the doctor.

"No...they drowned people in this slime. They crammed insects into people's mouths. They treated me differently, but the same as well. They injected this black stuff into my bloodstream. They continuously tied me down to give me a near-death experience with heat or pain. They tied me to the electrical chair. I'd rather die than just...just reminding myself that I was alive and all of those children and people--ten year olds, six year olds, eighty year olds...--being treated like slaves."
