He scoffed, "I don't find it an honor to help raise or raise three royal boys in which their fates are sealed, with forbidden powers of the Clan, and illegitimate successors to the throne most of all--which can get us killed at any moment if the Council wishes." He didn't like when the word "honor" was directed to him and his brothers. "It must have been grief for father to raise us. Our eyes---as we heard---are exactly like Mother's. I've been told that I look like Mother. It's a wonder how he gained the strength to even look at us. I mean, it'd be emotional torture to me, that constant reminder of looking at a physical trait of the woman I love that died..."

Yes, he saw your mother in you, all three of you, yet he learned with me that he can't run away. He abandoned me on and off, Dyemond," she said with a sigh. "Various orphanages with the promise to come back. He always did, but never was really accepting of the fact that my mother was gone. It destroyed him, but not as much as the loss of your mother. He coped though. It was an honor to raise you boys because I never was raised by my mother. I never had a proper mother role in my life, so to be able to provide you boys that much, it made me happy. I was never a substitute, I knew that. I just wanted to help."

Dyemond laughed, his smile brightening his face. Then it faded once again, "Sister," he said. "When I woke up from that long sleep that Big Brother told me I was in when I was fifteen..." He referenced those three days when he was dead. Platinume told him that he was merely asleep for so long. "I heard the words that when I die again, it's the Underworld's decision to bring me back or not."
